Job Description

This position is for a technical hands-on engineer for our operations team to be focused on supporting our frequent releases (multiple per week) with zero downtime. Its focus on agile operations with a devops culture.

  • problem solving, analytical and technical troubleshooting
  • scripting (shell, perl)
  • using automation tools (Chef, Jenkins, Ant, Maven)
  • using version and branch systems (GIT and SVN)
  • Issue tracking(JIRA)
  • Java Build, Deployment and Application Servers
  • Jboss , Apache Tomcat application servers
  • resolving code related exceptions and performance issues
  • working with e-commerce systems ( ATG applications)
  • Java Application Integration Knowledge, JMS and Web sphere Messaging Queue

About the Job

- Build and deploy code to environments to support the release process from QA through Production with zero downtime - Familiarity with build and deploy lifecycle for web applications - Work with development teams to resolve conflicts with code and database changes - Perform scheduled data refreshes from Production to the following environments our QA and Stage environments - Manage uptime of our QA and Stage environments, including the associated applications, either directly or working with 3rd party support teams - Work with our Release Management team to provide technical expertise - Independently manage multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously - Manage timely resolution of critical and/or complex problems with the different platforms in multiple environments including necessary communication to stakeholders
